The following are recognised as hereditary conditions in the Rough Collie.
CEA (Collie Eye Anomolly)
PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
HD (Hip Dysplasia)
MDR1 (Multi Drug Resistence)
Tests are available for all the above conditions and the Yorkshire Collie Club recommend
that all available tests are made full use of in breeding stock.
